At a glance
| Invoice My Clients | Harvest (as published) | |
|---|---|---|
| Product focus | Invoicing and getting paid: estimates with e-signature and deposits, change orders, progress billing, automated collections, time tracking to invoice, and an AI assistant, with QuickBooks Online and Xero sync. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/features (read 2026-10-28): time tracking for teams, with reports, budgets, capacity and invoices built from tracked time and expenses. Team scheduling is a separate Harvest product, Forecast. |
| Pricing approach | Free plan ($0, 25 invoices a month), then Starter $15, Professional $29, and Business $59 a month, flat per account. Annual billing saves about 20 percent. See our Pricing page for current numbers. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/pricing (read 2026-10-28): a Free plan for one seat and two projects, then Teams, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus, priced per seat, with a 30 day free trial and no card. Check their pricing page for current prices. |
| Time tracking | On Professional and above: timers or entries with a start and end, projects with their own rate, calendar suggestions, and reports including profitability. Unbilled time becomes invoice lines you edit before sending. It runs on the web and through the AI assistant, which can start and stop timers and log time. Our Android app does not track time, and we have no desktop timer apps or browser extension. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/features (read 2026-10-28) and https://www.getharvest.com/apps: live timers or day and week entries, from the browser, desktop and mobile, with apps for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, and custom reminders to track time. https://www.getharvest.com/integrations lists browser extensions and timers inside tools such as Asana, Jira, Trello and Basecamp. |
| Teams and approvals | Free through Business are one login per account; Enterprise adds organization seats through SSO or SCIM, with no per-seat charge. We have no timesheet approval and no team scheduling or capacity planning. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/pricing (read 2026-10-28): unlimited seats on Teams, team capacity reporting, and timesheet approval on Enterprise. Forecast, a separate Harvest product, schedules people across projects. |
| Estimates to invoice | Estimates with pricing tables and e-signature that convert to the invoice, on Professional and above. An estimate can ask for a deposit, paid on acceptance and credited on the invoice. Change orders amend an accepted estimate and are signed on your phone or approved remotely, and progress billing bills one contract application by application with retainage. | As published at https://support.getharvest.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048180972-How-to-create-an-estimate (read 2026-10-28) and https://support.getharvest.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048686351-Accepting-and-declining-estimates: an Estimates module an administrator switches on; clients accept or decline the web estimate, and an accepted estimate converts to an invoice. Deposits, signatures and change orders are not described on those pages. That is what their pages say, not a claim about what the product cannot do. |
| AI | A chat assistant on every plan that creates invoices, bills unbilled hours and chases overdue balances, with voice on Professional and above. Claude or ChatGPT can connect on any plan by signing in; it can send invoices and estimates only with your permission and your OK on each send. Each plan includes a monthly message allowance. | As published at https://support.getharvest.com/hc/en-us/articles/46293697226381-Harvest-MCP (read 2026-10-28): an MCP connection for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT that starts timers, logs and edits time, reports on time, budgets and utilization, manages projects, clients, tasks and expenses, submits timesheets for approval, and creates draft invoices; sending an invoice happens in Harvest. |
| Getting paid | Stripe-powered payments: cards, ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, transferred to your own Stripe account. Paid plans send the pay link with the invoice; Free sends the PDF link. Statements and interest on overdue invoices on Starter and above; automatic reminders, autonomous AI dunning and installment plans on Professional and above. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/features (read 2026-10-28): clients pay invoices online through PayPal or Stripe, and invoices and payments copy to QuickBooks Online or Xero. Automated collections are not described on that page. |
| Often the best fit | Contractors and service businesses that win work with estimates and signatures, bill in stages, and want getting paid and collections to run on their own, with time tracking included. | As published at https://www.getharvest.com/features (read 2026-10-28): teams and agencies that bill by the hour and want timers everywhere, approvals, budgets and capacity across many people. If that decides it, Harvest is the better buy. |

FAQ
Comparison FAQ
Quick answers about how these products differ, with sources.
Is Invoice My Clients a Harvest replacement?+
For invoicing, estimates and getting paid, yes, and time tracking is included on Professional and above. For teams that need timesheet approval, capacity planning, desktop timers or timers inside project tools, compare feature by feature: we do not have those.
How does pricing compare?+
Invoice My Clients has a free plan and flat monthly plans per account, starting at $15 a month. Harvest, as published on its pricing page on 2026-10-28, has a Free plan for one seat and two projects and paid plans priced per seat. Because both change, compare the two pricing pages directly.
Can I track time for free?+
Not with us: Free can view the Time page, and tracking and billing time need Professional. Harvest, as published, includes time tracking on its Free plan for one seat and two projects.
Which apps do you have?+
The web app on any device, and an Android app on Google Play for invoices, estimates, receipts and the assistant. There is no iPhone app, and time tracking is on the web and in the assistant, not in the Android app. Harvest publishes apps for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows.
How are estimates different?+
Harvest, as published in its help articles, lets clients accept or decline an estimate and converts an accepted one to an invoice. Ours add an e-signature, a deposit paid on acceptance, signed change orders and progress billing, on Professional and above.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT with either one?+
Yes. Both connect by MCP. Harvest, as published, focuses its connection on time, budgets, projects and draft invoices. Ours drafts and edits invoices, estimates, clients, time and projects, and sends only with your permission and your OK on each send, on any plan.
Can I bring my clients over?+
Yes. Import clients by CSV, connect Stripe for payments, and connect QuickBooks Online or Xero (Professional and above) if you keep the ledger there.
Where do the Harvest facts on this page come from?+
From Harvest's pricing, features, apps and integrations pages and its help articles on estimates and the Harvest MCP, all read on 2026-10-28. Nothing here is measured by us; treat it as Harvest's own published description.
