Invoice My Clients vs Jobber

Both products have a native Android app. They are built for different days: a crew schedule in the field, or estimates, invoices and payment chasing from the phone.

As published in Jobber Help, "Jobber app basics" (updated October 22, 2026), Jobber has iOS and Android apps. The bottom bar has Home, Schedule, Timesheet, Search and Messages, plus a More section for account settings. Quick create makes a Client, Expense, Invoice, Job, Quote, Request or Task. The schedule has five views, one of them a map of appointments and tasks. A Clock in / Clock out button runs the general timer, and pressing and holding the app icon opens Timesheet, Calendar or Clock In/Out directly. On visit and assessment pages a Camera button replaces quick create, and client conversations with new messages show a red dot.

As published in "Use Jobber with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto" (updated September 18, 2026), CarPlay and Android Auto work on all plans with app version 6.87 or later: see the day's schedule and appointment details, navigate to the next appointment, text the client an On My Way message, or call them.

As published on Jobber's field service app page and its Google Play listing (com.getjobber.jobber), the app creates and sends quotes, generates an invoice when a job is marked complete, schedules work from the field, captures time on the job for timesheets and job costing, stores job forms, photos and client conversations, and accepts online payments.

Invoice My Clients for Android is on Google Play in the United States (com.invoicemyclients.app). It covers the money side of the job: estimates the client signs on your phone, change orders, invoices with a live preview, receipts, payment reminders, alerts when an invoice is viewed or paid, and a voice assistant. It has no scheduling, dispatch or timesheets, and there is no iPhone app.

Both products publish an MCP-based connector for Claude and ChatGPT. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard these assistants use to work with other apps. The two connectors do different things.

As published in Jobber Help, "Connect Jobber to Claude and ChatGPT" (updated October 21, 2026), the connector is built on MCP and is available on all Core, Connect, Grow and Plus plans, and both Claude's and ChatGPT's free plans work with it. You sign in to Jobber, approve access and choose which tools the assistant can use, with no API key. It can look up clients, properties, requests, quotes, jobs and invoices; create or edit requests, clients and properties; and create quotes with a total, deposit and discount, but not unit costs or margins, and not edit them afterward.

The same article says you cannot currently use it to create or edit jobs or invoices, delete or archive any record, or add, edit or remove items on your schedule. It also says the connector is not the same as a browser agent: Jobber blocks automated browser agents, including the browser tools built into Claude and ChatGPT, from signing in the way a person does.

Invoice My Clients runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.invoicemyclients.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Every plan can connect by signing in, Free and Starter included, and the plan's limits apply as they do in the app. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients use the same server, sign-in and rules. Connecting with an API key, and the REST API, are on Professional and above.

Through it, your assistant can draft invoices with their line items, draft and edit estimates and proposals, add and update clients, log time and turn unbilled hours into a draft invoice, check projects, and read what is overdue. It can email an invoice or estimate only if you approved "send to your clients" when you connected, and it asks you to OK each send. Money never moves through it: it cannot charge a card, refund a payment or switch on automatic payments.
