Changelog

What changed in the product recently: new features, improvements, and fixes you will notice in the app.

Date

  • Removed

    Facebook Login removed

Facebook is no longer offered as a sign-in option. Google and Amazon sign-in, email and password, and passkeys are unchanged.

  • Fixed

Social sign-in buttons that did nothing

Clicking "Continue with Google" could silently do nothing when the human-verification check had not completed. Every path now either signs you in or tells you what to do next.

  • Improved

    Link offered first at checkout

Clients paying an invoice, and businesses upgrading a plan, now see Stripe Link as the first option so a saved wallet can complete the payment in one step.

  • Removed

    Per-message AI overage withdrawn

The per-message overage price on Starter, Professional, and Business is gone. Prepaid AI credit packs, priced by the model your plan runs on, replace it.

  • Fixed

No more "downgraded" emails when closing an account

Deleting an account, or cancelling while on the Free plan, no longer triggers a downgrade email and text message. Paid cancellations are still confirmed.

Date

  • New

The assistant says what it is doing

Instead of a silent pulse while a request runs, the AI assistant now shows a short line naming the step in progress, such as looking up a client or building a report. Screen readers announce it too.

  • Fixed

    Spanish messages that rendered broken

Forty-nine Spanish strings had plural and placeholder syntax mangled in translation, so some screens threw errors or showed sample values. All are repaired.

  • Fixed

Paid accounts wrongly moved to Free overnight

A customer with an active subscription and an older abandoned checkout could be judged by the abandoned one and lose paid features at midnight. Entitlement is now decided once per customer from the subscription that actually applies.

Date

  • Fixed

Passkey sign-in works on the live app

Passkeys were being rejected by the browser before reaching our sign-in service. They now register and sign in on app.invoicemyclients.com.

  • New

Choose marketing email at signup, change it in Settings

Signup asks whether you want product news by email, and the Settings toggle now reflects the choice you actually saved.

  • Improved

Claude 5 across the assistant and AI generation

The assistant, AI invoice and proposal generation, and dunning copy now run on the Claude 5 generation, and the model names shown in the usage dashboard and pricing match what actually runs.

Date

  • Fixed

    Card forms follow dark mode

The Stripe card form inside the upgrade modal stayed white in dark mode, and the annual savings badge was unreadable. Both now use the active theme.

Date

  • Fixed

Paying customers get their full AI allowance

Some paid accounts were being served the Free AI allowance (20 messages, no voice) because two parts of the app disagreed about the plan. AI allowance now comes from the plan you pay for, and the separate AI subscription product has been retired.

  • Fixed

    Duplicate profiles created at signup

A slow first signup could be retried and create a second profile, billing customer, and invoice counter, which made a plan appear to flip between requests. Signup is now safe to retry.

  • Improved

A better start on your first invoice

Line items show a filled-in example instead of "Item Description" and zeros, and a work email seeds your business name at signup so the From block is not blank on your first invoice.

Date

  • Fixed

The time tracking timer works again

Starting a timer or creating a project had failed since the 17 August release because the request was rejected before it reached the server. Time entries and projects save again.

Date

  • New

    Update prompt after a release

When a new version ships, the app offers "Reload now" instead of silently failing to open a page you had not visited yet. Declining is remembered until the next build.

  • Improved

One field style, a green Saved badge, and fewer needless saves

Every form field shares one size and typography, the Saved indicator is green in both themes, required asterisks sit next to their label, and leaving a field unchanged no longer writes to your account.

  • New

Physical mail: sent and delivered notifications

When a mailed invoice is accepted for printing, you get a confirmation and your client gets a heads-up with the expected arrival date. When the carrier confirms delivery, both of you are notified.

Date

  • Fixed

Mailed invoices no longer cancelled by the print service

Every mailed invoice was being rejected because the PDF drew into the envelope address window, and the cancellation was never reported. Letters now get their own address page and status changes reach you.

Date

  • Fixed

No more black screen before sign-in

The app could show a blank dark screen for several seconds while loading. The first paint is now a branded splash on the sign-in surface, and third-party stylesheets no longer block it.

Date

  • Improved

    WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility pass

Icon-only buttons have names, the invoice list row no longer nests controls, report charts have text alternatives, and low-contrast amounts, badges, and helper text meet AA in both themes.

Date

  • New

    FREE badge in the header

Free accounts now see an outlined plan badge in the header with a tooltip, so it is clear which plan you are on. Paid plans keep the filled badge.

Date

  • New

    Connect an existing Stripe account

Settings > Payments now offers "Connect an existing Stripe account" alongside creating a new one, so you can keep the account you already use.

  • Fixed

Payments settings for standard Stripe accounts

A fully working account was nagged with "requires additional information", and removing the integration always failed. Status now reflects whether charges and payouts are enabled, and disconnecting unlinks the account cleanly.

  • Fixed

Manually recorded bank payments mark the invoice Paid

Recording an ACH or bank transfer by hand left the invoice stuck in Processing, which also froze interest accrual. It now marks the invoice Paid.
