Painting estimating software

Painting is won on the estimate: rooms, surfaces, coats, prep and paint grade, laid out so the client can see what they are buying. Invoice My Clients builds that estimate, takes the deposit that buys the paint, records every color change as a change order and turns the whole thing into the final invoice.

Estimate by room or surface, with options

Break the job into sections, such as each room, the exterior and the trim, with a pricing table in each. Offer a standard and a premium paint line, or one coat and two, as options, so the client chooses the finish and the price together.

The client signs on your Android phone or accepts from the link, and the accepted estimate converts to the invoice.

Take a deposit for materials

Ask for a deposit on the estimate so paint and supplies are paid for before you buy them. When the client accepts, a deposit invoice is created for them to pay, and the amount is credited on the final invoice.

On a longer exterior or commercial job, bill in stages with progress billing on Professional and above, instead of waiting until the last coat is dry.

Color changes and added rooms as change orders

A new color after the first coat or a room added halfway through is new work. Write it as a change order on the accepted estimate and get approval first. When the job is done and paid, ask for a review from the invoice: the client gets one thank-you email with a link to your Google, Houzz or other review page.

Painting estimate questions

How do I quote color changes mid project?+

Add a change order to the accepted estimate with the price of the extra labor and paint, and have the client approve it before you repaint. The final invoice includes it.

Can I split a paint job into progress payments?+

Yes. Take a deposit on the estimate, then bill the rest in stages with progress billing, which is on Professional and above. Each invoice shows what was billed before and what is left.

Can I request a review after the invoice is paid?+

Yes. Once an invoice is paid in full, choose Ask for a review on it and the client gets one thank-you email with a link to your review page. It is sent from the web app, only when you confirm, once per invoice.
