Android App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Invoice My Clients app for Android (package com.invoicemyclients.app), published by Invoice My Clients, LLC ("we", "us"), handles your information. The app is a client for the Invoice My Clients service, so our main Privacy Policy also applies to everything you do in your account; this page covers what is specific to the app.
What the app collects
When you use the app, it sends the following to our servers so the service can work:
- Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details (passwords are handled by Amazon Cognito and never stored by the app; passkeys stay on your device).
- Invoice and business data you enter: your business details, your clients’ names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses, line items, amounts, payments you record and notes.
- Messages to the assistant: what you type or say to the in-app assistant, as text, and its replies.
- Your plan and usage: which subscription plan you are on and how many assistant messages you have used this month.
What the app does not collect
- No voice recordings. Speech is turned into text by your phone’s own speech recognizer (for example Google’s speech service), under that service’s own privacy terms. The app receives only the text and sends only the text.
- No location, contacts, photos, files, calendar or health data.
- No advertising or device identifiers, and no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No payment card numbers. When your clients pay you online, card details are entered on a Stripe-hosted page and never pass through the app.
- No crash data is sent automatically. If the app crashes, a short technical record is kept on your phone only, and leaves it only if you choose to copy and send it to us.
Permissions the app asks for
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): only for voice mode and dictation, and only after you allow it. You can say no and keep typing.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13 and later): to tell you about invoice events. You can turn them off in Android settings at any time.
- Internet and network state: to reach our servers.
- Audio settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): to route the assistant’s voice to your speaker or headset and to mute the speech recognizer’s start beep.
- Background work (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE): used by Android’s WorkManager to run the notification check every 15 minutes, including after your phone restarts.
Notifications
About every 15 minutes, while you are signed in, the app asks our servers for new notifications about your own invoices (for example sent, viewed, paid, overdue, or a payment reminder sent) and shows them on your phone. The check reads only your account. Signing out stops it and clears the notifications it posted.
How your data is used and who processes it
We use this data only to provide the service to you: to store and show your invoices, send the invoices and reminders you ask us to send, answer your questions in the assistant, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers process it on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database and sign-in), Amazon Bedrock (the AI models behind the assistant; your messages are not used to train them), ElevenLabs (turns the assistant’s written replies into speech; it receives the reply text, not your voice), Stripe (online card payments) and the email and text-message providers that deliver the invoices and reminders you send. Google handles sign-in only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Security
All data the app sends travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Sign-in tokens are kept in Android’s protected app storage. Your data is stored on AWS in the United States.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account and its data at any time: in the app, open Settings and tap Delete Account, which takes you to your account settings; or, without signing in, request deletion on our data deletion page. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it (for example tax and payment records), as described in our main Privacy Policy.
Uninstalling the app removes everything the app stored on your phone; it does not delete your account.
Children
The app is a business tool for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes
If the app starts handling data in a new way, we will update this page and its date before the change ships.
