How to calculate a Net 45 due date
Use the invoice date as the starting point, then add calendar days.
Enter the invoice date
Use the issue date shown on your invoice. If your agreement starts the payment clock on another date, use that agreed starting date.
Keep Net 45 selected
The calculator adds 45 calendar days. For example, an invoice dated October 21, 2026 is due December 5, 2026.
Write the due date on the invoice
Show both Net 45 and the calendar due date. A weekend or holiday does not move the result unless your agreement says otherwise.
Net 45 questions
Payment terms and calendar-day counting, explained.
Net 45 means the invoice balance is due 45 calendar days after the invoice date, unless your agreement names another starting point. The terms describe when to pay, not a discount.
Add 45 calendar days to the invoice date, including weekends and holidays. This calculator leaves a Saturday or Sunday due date unchanged. If your agreement moves payment to the next business day, apply that rule separately.
Net 45 gives a client 15 more calendar days to pay than Net 30. Choose terms you can afford to carry and agree them before the work starts. Net 30 may suit a shorter cash cycle, while Net 45 can fit a client with a longer approval process.
