Hand your accountant a clean year end

January is when the accountant asks for everything and you discover what was never recorded. The fix is not a heroic weekend; it is invoicing in a way that leaves the records behind as you go.

The situation

You need to show what was billed, what was paid, what is still open, what tax was collected and what was spent, for the whole year, in a form the accountant can use without re-entering it.

What goes wrong today

Invoices live in one tool, payments in a bank statement, receipts in a shoebox and the books in QuickBooks, and none of them agree. The accountant bills you for reconciling them, or guesses.

How it works in Invoice My Clients

Reports cover revenue, aging, sales tax collected and payments by client, each exportable as CSV. Expenses go into Deductions as you incur them; photograph the receipt and the AI reads the amount, vendor and category for you to confirm. On the Professional plan and above, invoices and payments sync to QuickBooks Online or Xero as they happen, so the books already hold them when the accountant opens the file. Every plan can export client payments as a Money Manager Ex file.

Questions people ask

Which sales tax report do I get?+

Tax collected by period, from the tax lines on your invoices, as a report and CSV.

Are receipts kept with the expense?+

Yes. The image stays attached to the expense entry.

Does the sync change anything in my books on its own?+

It creates invoices and payments as they happen in the app. Nothing already in the books is edited without a matching change here.
