Worked example

An invoice dated 17 October 2026 on Net 30 is due Monday 16 November 2026, Revolution Day (third Monday of November). Rolled to the next business day it is due Tuesday 17 November.

What the list covers

The list is article 74 of the Ley Federal del Trabajo. Three of the days move to a Monday each year (first Monday of February, third Monday of March and third Monday of November). Banks follow the CNBV calendar, which closes on more days, and election days declared under electoral law are also rest days.

  • 1 October every six years, when federal executive power is handed over, is also a rest day; the next is 2030.
  • Article 83 of the Código de Comercio makes an obligation with no agreed term payable ten days after it was contracted, so state your term on the invoice.
