What Net 7 means
Seven days from the day after the invoice date, so the due date is always the same weekday as the invoice date one week later. That makes Net 7 easy to remember and easy to check.
When to use it
- Small jobs and one-off clients where you want payment while the work is fresh.
- Weekly billing cycles, so each invoice is due before the next one goes out.
- Clients paying by card or online link, where there is no approval process to wait for.

Common mistakes
- Invoicing on a weekend. An invoice dated Saturday 31 January 2026 on Net 7 is due Saturday 7 February.

- Leaving the due date off. A visible date is what makes a short term work.
